Culturally adapted psychotherapies for depressed adults: A systematic review and meta-analysis

There is current debate about the effectiveness and generalizability of evidence-based psychological therapies in treatment depression for diverse ethno-cultural groups. This has led to increasing interest culturally adapted psychotherapies (CAPs). Studies on CAPs face-to-face depressed adults were identified using nine electronic database searches. Data process adaptation was analysed thematic analysis efficacy assessed through meta-analysis Randomized Controlled Trials. Fifteen studies included review, which eight a meta-analysis. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Activation commonly selected approaches CAPs, mainly based their strong evidence base effectiveness.
